NEW HULL VENUE OFFERS UNIQUE LUXURY KARAOKE EXPERIENCE

A new entertainment venue in Hull is promising to take a Sledgehammer to traditional karaoke by reinventing our favourite singing pastime and adding a unique luxurious high-end twist to make any everyday crooner feel like a Rockstar.

Vox Box is due to open on the site of the former Tofts nightclub on Newland Avenue in April 2022. It will feature six private suites tailored to groups of up to thirty, in addition to a chic piano bar with guest live acts for those who prefer to relax with a cocktail, some Gin and Juice or Red Red Wine whilst listening to the professionals.

In contrast to the usual sticky floor and patchy technology previously associated with karaoke venues, the newly renovated sound-treated private suites in Vox Box offer widescreen HD TVs; superior sound systems; high quality wireless microphones; an iPad-based drinks ordering system and music database; luxury seating; phone-charging wall sockets; and air con. Whether a Wannabe Whitney or an aspiring A$AP Rocky, guests will be sure to find their singalong favourite among the 80,000-strong song catalogue.

Singers keen not to Miss A Beat can also order a wide range of drinks delivered directly to their private suite, including freshly made cocktails, local IPAs and premium spirits. They can also opt to either warm-up or repair their vocal chords at the main bar before and after their bookings.

With rooms available from before midday and Closing Time in the small hours, guests can enjoy more than just their singing experience, and truly make it A Night To Remember.

The new concept is the brainchild of Escape Room Hull & Spare Room Hull owners Matthew Elms and Jack Mangan, who commented:

“Vox Box is reinventing karaoke as you know it. No longer will you have to sing in front of a load of strangers, straining to look at a tiny screen with a crackling microphone and software that belongs in the 90s. Those Dog Days are Over and we’re ushering in an era of New Rules for the entire karaoke experience.

“We’re keen to enhance the elements that people love about karaoke – wide song choice, private areas for every occasion and group size, and plenty of space to dance. But we also want to ditch the things that people hate – poor technology, unpleasant dark sweaty rooms and queuing for drinks! We’re confident everyone will leave Vox Box Feelin’ Good.”
