Those in need of a laugh during these trying times are being invited to attend a brand new star-studded comedy night at Newland Avenue’s Vox Box on Sunday 23rd October.
The evening will feature a number of big names on the comedy circuit including Hal Cruttenden (a regular on TV shows Have I Got News For You, QI and Would I Lie To You?), Brennan Reece (Live At The Apollo and Celebrity Coach Trip) and Harriet Dyer (Russell Howard Hour & BBC Live At The Fringe). It will be hosted by Hull’s very own award-winning comedian Jack Gleadow.
The venue, popular for its private luxury karaoke rooms and wide drinks selection, is adding the new comedy night to its list of popular events in its downstairs open bar, which has recently included Friends and Musicals Quizzes, Broadway Brunches, tribute acts and wedding receptions.
It promises to be the first in a regular Sunday evening setup, with more big household names expected to bring big laughs and dampen the end-of-weekend-blues for the people of Hull.
Well known TV comedian Hal Cruttenden said:
